Poems From the World Unseen?
I really like the poem miriam is reading when you can hear what it is can anyone tell me what poem it is or some lines from it please
The poem Miriam was reading in the movie The World Unseen (2007) is entitled Love by George Herbert. Here is the poem in its entirety:
Love
by George Herbert
Love bade me welcome: yet my soul drew back,
Guilty of dust and sin.
But quick-eyed Love, observing me grow slack
From my first entrance in,
Drew nearer to me, sweetly questioning,
If I lacked anything.
A guest, I answered, worthy to be here:
Love said, you shall be he.
I the unkind, the ungrateful? Ah my dear,
I cannot look on thee.
Love took my hand, and smiling did reply,
Who made the eyes but I?
Truth Lord, but I have marred them; let my shame
Go where it doth deserve.
And know you not, says Love, who bore the blame?
My Dear then I will serve.
You must sit down, says Love, and taste my meat:
So I did sit and eat.
Do you find a whistle shrill or does the sound make you smile? C/C?
Whistle
Be careful- a starters flag
to a child hell bent on dare.
What boundaries could exist
to a mind, age…un-imbued?
Homes become triage centers
and scars become badges borne.
Were adept at fixing those.
not so, deeper- unseen ones.
Those internal bleeds we fear.
Wounds festering, giving pain.
No dial a wound remedies,
just constant, long term E.R.
But, when they find the goal lines,
the boundaries they accept.
We smile and settle ourselves
to enjoy the whistle’s shrill.
Intense piece and I do like whistles but this describes a situation that is frightening,,, to me anyway.
Excellent in any case.
What is this movie where people are running from and unseen force in the trailer?
Where in the trailer a group of people are running from something really big(a monster?) but they never show you what it is. I think they’re in a city. I remember the main reason people went to see it was to figure out what the thing was
I remember seeing the trailer awhile back but can’t remember the name of the movie.
Cloverfield.
