Questions no answers flowing through my head
Totally silent like the day of the living dead
Passing me by one by one, trouble on the news kids carrying guns
Will it ever stop the beating of the city,
Tears cried from a child whose parents are always hitting,
Too sad a song for one boy to sing, looking up to rappers do drugs and get that bling
Trying to get the best for the little child
Child abandoned at least that’s how he feels inside
Things I see on a day to day basis
People on t.v. shout and bein racists,
Why do they see color, not just see me,
Young man tries to make it in spite of all these things,
Liars and backstabbers, deceivers are there to,
Hearing all these things hard to tell what’s true
People talk behind your back say one thing do another
Turn your back on friends even their own brother.
Things I see on a day to day basis
People fighting, in each others faces,
Calm down can’t we get along
Tired of these wars countries dropping bombs.
Races, religions these are your reasons,
Sayin “I believe in God” actin like a heathen
Marriages ending kids don’t understand,
Thrown into the roll boy into a man.
Girls getting pregnant barely 16,
Life unlived, many places still unseen
3rd world countries not food enough for one to eat
Parents getting mad kids getting beat.
Too much for one teen to handle,
So he turns to once good now a vandal.
These are the problems our generation must face,
Everything depending on money, stature and race.
Things I see on a day to day basis
So much talent why must it be wasted,
Thrown away like a piece of trash,
Smoked up burnt out nothing but stinkin ash
Problems I see not wanting my kids to see,
Too many young ones without families, let us fix these problems our generation must we face, don’t let anything depend on money stature or race.
Make these things be what we used to see on a day to day basis, clean up the world and all it’s jacked up places.
