What does your conscience tell you about this ?

Is not the ability to believe and obey the unseen the best attribute of the total capacities and capabilities of human being, that seperates him from animals in the highest degree ? Humans can fast despite food in their proximity whereas animals cannot do it. Does not greed and lust make a person worst than an animal because he or she would has a latent capacity at their disposal and that is faith in Almighty? Please share your views

Being greed less, merciful, generous, magnanimous, greathearted are excellent features that man kind have despite being a non-believer of God. I am not here to believe or not believe Him.

I have been seeing many nice people who are not much interested in God. But they respect their conscience. They believe in "good brings good" concept.

Needless to mention the craziness of so many God fearing people’s "not-so-good" characters. Again it is not that all believers are bad either.

Animal kingdom is entirely different. They really behave like "Animals". All our code of ethics are not applied there. Neither can we understand them nor can we weigh their life style with humans.

(note: we have animal instincts still with us to some degree)

In the history of mankind, there are more killings and violence due to religion and God than any other longings.

No, the will of the masses to obey commands from the ‘unseen’ without any evidence of how they benefit or harm them makes humanity’s continued tenure on this planet quite incredible

Please describe how ‘faith in the almighty’ benefits societies – in my view societies with the strongest ‘belief’ are the weakest. For example, most muslim countries have higher illiteracy, poverty, unemployment, social mobility and infant mortality.

It doesn’t seperate us from animals. Humans are afraid to accept that there is no life after death, and that there is no invisible hand guiding us. In truth, we cling to religion because we are afraid, and religion offers a helping hand. As much as I dislike religion, it does have evolutionary merit. In the same way that an animal won’t wander off from the pack, humans are afraid to throw god out of their lives.

As for fasting, of course animals do not do it – an animal is programmed to eat whenever it can, as it doesn’t know when it’s next meal is coming. A human can easily fast voluntarily – they know that when they break their fast, they will have a meal coming to them.

Man must be driven by reason, love and the will to peace. If any guiding counsel contradicts this premise it must be subjected to ethical examination

Right, humans are capable of much sin whereas with animals, it is not sin. It is just their nature to do what they do. But humans have the higher intelligence and communication and therefore they will be held accountable for their actions. We must stay away from greed. Once it gets a foothold, it is hard to get it out of our lives. Jesus is faithful to forgive us and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (I Jn. 1:9).
