SURAT AL MULK 67
1. Blessed be He in Whose hands is Dominion: and He over all things Hath Power―
2. He Who created Death and Life, that He may try which of you is best in deed: and He is the Exalted in Might, Oft-Forgiving―
3. He Who created the seven heavens one above another; no want of proportion wilt thou see in the Creation of (Allah) Most Gracious. so turn thy vision again: Seest thou any flaw?
4. Again turn thy vision a second time; (thy) vision will come back to thee dull and discomfited, in a state worn out.
5. And We have, (from of old), adorned the lowest heaven with Lamps, and We have made such (Lamps) (as) missiles to drive away the Evil Ones, and have prepared for them the Penalty of the Blazing Fire.
6. For those who reject their Lord (and Cherisher) is the Penalty of Hell: and evil is (such) destination.
7. When they are cast therein, they will hear the (terrible) drawing in of its breath even as it blazes forth.
8. Almost bursting with fury: every time a Group is cast therein its Keepers will ask "Did no Warner come to you?"
9. They will say: "Yes indeed: a Warner did come to us, but we rejected him and said `Allah never sent down any (Message): ye are in nothing but an egregious delusion!’ "
10. They will further say: "Had we but listened or used our intelligence we should not (now) be among the Companions of the Blazing Fire!"
11. They will then confess their sins: but far will be (Forgiveness) from the Companions of the Blazing Fire!
12. As for those who fear their Lord unseen for them is Forgiveness and a great Reward.
13. And whether ye hide your word or publish it, He certainly has (full) knowledge, of the secrets of (all) hearts.
14. Should He not know― He that created? And He is the One that understands the finest mysteries (and) is well-acquainted (with them).
15. It is He Who has made the earth manageable for you, so traverse ye through its tracts and enjoy of the Sustenance which He furnishes: but unto Him is the Resurrection.
16. Do ye feel secure that He Who is in heaven will not cause you to be swallowed up by the earth when it shakes (as in an earthquake)?
17. Or do ye feel secure that He Who is in Heaven will not send against you a violent tornado (with showers of stones), so that ye shall know how (terrible) was My warning?
18. But indeed men before them rejected (My warning): then how (terrible) was My rejection (of them)?
19. Do they not observe the birds above them, spreading their wings and folding them in? None can uphold them except (Allah) Most Gracious: truly it is He that watches over all things.
20. Nay, who is there that can help you, (even as) an army, besides (Allah) Most Merciful? In nothing but delusion are the Unbelievers.
21. Or who is there that can provide you with Sustenance if He were to withhold His provision? Nay, they obstinately persist in insolent impiety and flight (from the Truth).
22. Is then one who walks headlong, with his face grovelling, better guided― or one who walks evenly on a Straight Way?
23. Say: "It is He Who has created you (and made you grow) and made for you the faculties of hearing, seeing, and understanding: little thanks it is ye give."
24. Say: "It is He Who has multiplied you through the earth, and to Him shall ye be gathered together."
25. They ask: When will this promise be (fulfilled)? If ye are telling the truth.
26. Say: "As to the knowledge of the time, it is with Allah alone: I am (sent) only to warn plainly in public."
27. At length, when they see it close at hand, grieved will be the faces of the Unbelievers, and it will be said (to them): "This is (the promise fulfilled) which ye were calling for!"
28. Say: "See ye?― If Allah were to destroy me, and those with me, or if He bestows His Mercy on us― yet who can deliver the Unbelievers from a grievous Penalty?"
29. Say: "He is (Allah) Most Gracious: we have believed in Him, and on Him have we put our trust: so soon will ye know which (of us) it is that is in manifest error."
30. Say: "See ye?― If your stream be some morning lost (in the underground earth), who then can supply you with clear-flowing water?"

5 Minutes Bible Study – Forgetting, Remembering And Getting On With Life

FORGETTING, REMEMBERING, AND GETTING ON WITH LIFE

Remember the days of old; consider the generations long past. Deuteronomy 32:7

Another year is history, and the firm but often unseen hand of God has written another chapter in the history of mankind. Like the knots in a sailors rope, or the trickle of sand through the hourglass, or the fenceposts along the highway, the coming of a new year is a marker in your life, in everyones life. Interested in making this coming year better than the one past? Then todays three guidelines are just for you. Three phases: forget, remember, and press on.

Guideline #1: Forget the past. The cry remember is militant, and there are some things you need to remember, but there are other things which must be forgotten. Like what? Like your mistakes and failures, like your sins which are confesses and forgiven. Forget your sorrows and disappointments, because they grow only heavier with each year you carry them.

Some folks live in a world of broken pieces and constantly dwell on their hurts and wrongs, the short end of the bargain, the way someone cheated them out of an inheritance, the rejection they experiences from someone they loved. All these things are painful, but healing cannot take place until they are put behind you and essentially forgotten.

Paul stressed the importance of learning to forget, saying, Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the price for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus (Philippians 3:13,14). If you cant forget, which may mean forgiving, as well, you will go through the year bearing a burden which will certainly rob you of your joy. The taste of revenge is never sweet nor worth what it costs in peace of mind and heart.

Guideline #2: Remember. In Gods Word, the Bible, we are told to remember about twice as many things as we are told to forget. In the book of Deuteronomy, Moses wrote, Remember how the LORD your God led you all the way in the desert these forty years (8:2). Again he urged, Remember the days of old; consider the generations long past (Deuteronomy 32:7).

One of the reasons the memory capacity of our mind isnt so great is that we are always focusing on present needs rather than past victories; yet it builds our faith to remember the way God has met us in the past. Remember when you were hospitalized and God met you, when your son or daughter was in trouble and you prayed and God heard you? Remember when you were broke and unemployed and God sent a gift to meet your need?

Now if God met you yesterday, why cant you believe Him for today? Try to remember that God never grows weary, that He knows your needs far better than even you yourself, that He knows when to answer your prayer and when it is best to let you learn the lesson of patient trust.

Guideline #3: Press forward with the Lord. Problems and pressures will do one of two things: they will drive you further from the Lord or else they will gently push you toward Him. It all depends on where you put yourself relationship to the problem. Remember, dads, when your children were small, how you would take them for a walk along toward the sunset? They would run ahead of you, not wanting to stay with you, until it grew dark. Then, presently, a little hand would reach up for your larger hand, and the darker it grew, the closer they wanted to stay by your side. That is the way it can be in the coming year. Who knows what the year may bring forth? But when you hold the hand of Him who holds the world, what need is there for worry?

A one great unseen beautiful God. He is not a being cause he was never formed or happened, he has no age cause he is just there long before the creation.

Signs from the Quran that proves he exists and that Islam is a true religion:
The creation of the universe:

“Soon shall We show them Our Signs on the horizons and in their own

Do those who are disbelievers not see that the heavens and the earth were sewn together and then We unstitched them and that We made from water every living thing? So will they not have faith? (Surat al-Anbiya’: 30) "sewn to" means "mixed in each, blended" in Arabic dictionaries. It is used to refer to two different substances that make up a whole. The phrase "we unstitched" is the verb fatk in Arabic and implies that something comes into being by tearing apart or destroying the structure of ratk.(the universe was a one big mass/the big bang)

It is We Who have built the universe with (Our creative) power, and, verily, it is We Who are steadily expanding it. (Surat adh-Dhariyat: 47)

The creation of mankind:
“Verily We created man from a drop of a mingled fluid-drop (nutfa amshaj), in order to try him: so We gave him (the gifts), of hearing and sight.” (76:2).
“He It is Who created all things in the best way and began the creation of man from clay, and made his progeny from an extract of despised fluid (Sulalah) ” (32: 7-8)
“So, let man consider of what he was created . He was created of gushing water ” (86: 5-6)
“He has created man from a sperm (fluid-drop) and behold this same (man) becomes an open disputer.” (16: 4).
Does man think that he will be left uncontrolled (without purpose)? Was he not once a fluid-drop of ejected semen? . (75:36-37

Well, the same is true in reverse. Your texts mean nothing to me. I don’t deny your gods existence, but he is not my god. You will never accept the Litany of Ra, the Pyramid Texts or the Book of the Celestial Cow as valid, and I’m never going to go with the Qu’ran, Bible and Talmud. So leave it be.

I worship my gods my way, you worship your god your way, and everyone is happy. Just leave people alone. It is when people start proselyting that things start getting nasty.

1. Ya-Sin.

[These letters are one of the miracles of the Qur'an, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings.]

2. By the Qur’an, full of wisdom (i.e. full of laws, evidences, and proofs),

3. Truly, you (O Muhammad ) are one of the Messengers,

4. On a Straight Path (i.e. on Allah’s religion of Islamic Monotheism).

5. (This is) a Revelation sent down by the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful,

6. In order that you may warn a people whose forefathers were not warned, so they are heedless.

7. Indeed the Word (of punishment) has proved true against most of them, so they will not believe.

8. Verily! We have put on their necks iron collars reaching to chins, so that their heads are forced up.

9. And We have put a barrier before them, and a barrier behind them, and We have covered them up, so that they cannot see.

10. It is the same to them whether you warn them or you warn them not, they will not believe.

11. You can only warn him who follows the Reminder (the Qur’an), and fears the Most Beneficent (Allah) unseen. Bear you to such one the glad tidings of forgiveness, and a generous reward (i.e. Paradise).

12. Verily, We give life to the dead, and We record that which they send before (them), and their traces [their footsteps and walking on the earth with their legs to the mosques for the five compulsory congregational prayers, Jihad (holy fighting in Allah's Cause) and all other good and evil they did, and that which they leave behind], and all things We have recorded with numbers (as a record) in a Clear Book.

13. And put forward to them a similitude; the (story of the) dwellers of the town, [It is said that the town was Antioch (Antakiya)], when there came Messengers to them.

14. When We sent to them two Messengers, they belied them both, so We reinforced them with a third, and they said: “Verily! We have been sent to you as Messengers.”

15. They (people of the town) said: “You are only human beings like ourselves, and the Most Beneficent (Allah) has revealed nothing, you are only telling lies.”

16. The Messengers said: “Our Lord knows that we have been sent as Messengers to you,

17. “And our duty is only to convey plainly (the Message).”

18. They (people) said: “For us, we see an evil omen from you, if you cease not, we will surely stone you, and a painful torment will touch you from us.”

19. They (Messengers) said: “Your evil omens be with you! (Do you call it “evil omen”) because you are admonished? Nay, but you are a people Musrifun (transgressing all bounds by committing all kinds of great sins, and by disobeying Allah).

20. And there came running from the farthest part of the town, a man, saying: “O my people! Obey the Messengers;

21. “Obey those who ask no wages of you (for themselves), and who are rightly guided.

22. “And why should I not worship Him (Allah Alone) Who has created me and to Whom you shall be returned.

23. “Shall I take besides Him aliha (gods), if the Most Beneficent (Allah) intends me any harm, their intercession will be of no use for me whatsoever, nor can they save me?

24. “Then verily, I should be in plain error.

25. Verily! I have believed in your Lord, so listen to me!”

26. It was said (to him when the disbelievers killed him): “Enter Paradise.” He said: “Would that my people knew!

27. “That my Lord (Allah) has forgiven me, and made me of the honoured ones!”

28. And We sent not against his people after him a host from heaven, nor do We send (such a thing).

29. It was but one Saihah (shout, etc.) and lo! They (all) were silent (dead-destroyed).

30. Alas for mankind! There never came a Messenger to them but they used to mock at him.

31. Do they not see how many of the generations We have destroyed before them? Verily, they will not return to them.

32. And surely, all, everyone of them will be brought before Us.

33. And a sign for them is the dead land. We gave it life, and We brought forth from it grains, so that they eat thereof.

34. And We have made therein gardens of date-palms and grapes, and We have caused springs of water to gush forth therein.

35. So that they may eat of the fruit thereof, and their hands made it not. Will they not, then, give thanks?

16. Do ye feel secure that He Who is in heaven will not cause you to be swallowed up by the earth when it shakes (as in an earthquake)?
17. Or do ye feel secure that He Who is in Heaven will not send against you a violent tornado (with showers of stones), so that ye shall know how (terrible) was My warning?
18. But indeed men before them rejected (My warning): then how (terrible) was My rejection (of them)?
19. Do they not observe the birds above them, spreading their wings and folding them in? None can uphold them except (Allah) Most Gracious: truly it is He that watches over all things.
20. Nay, who is there that can help you, (even as) an army, besides (Allah) Most Merciful? In nothing but delusion are the Unbelievers.
21. Or who is there that can provide you with Sustenance if He were to withhold His provision? Nay, they obstinately persist in insolent impiety and flight (from the Truth).
22. Is then one who walks headlong, with his face grovelling, better guided― or one who walks evenly on a Straight Way?
23. Say: "It is He Who has created you (and made you grow) and made for you the faculties of hearing, seeing, and understanding: little thanks it is ye give."
24. Say: "It is He Who has multiplied you through the earth, and to Him shall ye be gathered together."
25. They ask: When will this promise be (fulfilled)? If ye are telling the truth.
26. Say: "As to the knowledge of the time, it is with Allah alone: I am (sent) only to warn plainly in public."
27. At length, when they see it close at hand, grieved will be the faces of the Unbelievers, and it will be said (to them): "This is (the promise fulfilled) which ye were calling for!"
28. Say: "See ye?― If Allah were to destroy me, and those with me, or if He bestows His Mercy on us― yet who can deliver the Unbelievers from a grievous Penalty?"
29. Say: "He is (Allah) Most Gracious: we have believed in Him, and on Him have we put our trust: so soon will ye know which (of us) it is that is in manifest error."
30. Say: "See ye?― If your stream be some morning lost (in the underground earth), who then can supply you with clear-flowing water

I think that all of the Quran is beautiful, but my favourites are al Mulk and Yassin which i try to read for my dead parents as often as i can.
