I need to draw or paint a picture for a poem anthology… the poem is the builders by henry wadsworth longfellow, and I have no ideas what to do… anything?

here it is:
The Builders

All are architects of Fate,
Working in these walls of Time;
Some with massive deeds and great,
Some with ornaments of rhyme.

Nothing useless is, or low;
Each thing in its place best;
And what seems but idle show
Strengthens and supports the rest.

For the structure that we raise,
Time is with materials filled;
Our todays and yesterdays
Are the blocks with which we build.

Truly shape and fashion these;
Leave no yawning gaps between;
Think not, because no man sees,
Such things will remain unseen.

In the elder days of Art,
Builders wrought with greatest care
Each minute and unseen part;
For the gods see everywhere.

The poem is basically talking about how we create our lives now from the experiences we’ve gone through before to make our futures.

1. So the drawing could be someone ascending a staircase which at the bottom is breaking down and what they are standing on is new, and where it is leading to is yet being built; and below is dying plants and broken windows and paint chipping off of the walls and door, in between we could see some things that are in good condition, such as whole windows, new curtains, etc. and upwards we could possibly see something like growing plants, beautiful clouds in the skies and so on. That was the first possibility that came to mind.

2. The second idea I had was that it could be someone sitting in a chair in the middle of a room, looking down at a pocket watch in their hands, with the room around them made up and clean; but the things in the room that are farther from the person get dusty, broken and old, and the closer the things are look clean, well kept and new.

3. Another idea could be that we are looking over the shoulder of a painter painting a scene of a beautiful, serene field; and the room he is standing in is broken down and partly falling to pieces but he is painting his future, or the future of the environment in which he is standing; possibly the future he wishes to create one day.

4. Another idea that might be cool would be people building a structure with pieces of old broken down buildings and making them new again and creating this new building that will stand strong as the other ones did not.

23. Say: "It is He Who has created you (and made you grow) and made for you the faculties of hearing, seeing, and understanding: little thanks it is ye give."
24. Say: "It is He Who has multiplied you through the earth, and to Him shall ye be gathered together."
25. They ask: When will this promise be (fulfilled)? If ye are telling the truth.
26. Say: "As to the knowledge of the time, it is with Allah alone: I am (sent) only to warn plainly in public."
27. At length, when they see it close at hand, grieved will be the faces of the Unbelievers, and it will be said (to them): "This is (the promise fulfilled) which ye were calling for!"

i wrote a bunch of lyrics (4 long verses) and i’m thinking of recording… i’ll post the lyrics and show where i need the hook/ chorus… any ideas are welcome

It’s good man. But usually raps are 16 bars max or 8 min and if you want to make a hook the hook should be about 8 max or 4 min. But other than that you have a good rap there.

Discovery channel often lies, or covers up the truth…Or forgets it all together, every once in awhile tho, they make up for it with videos like this.

Why I don’t know. Why do they tell the truth once in awhile but then try to cover it up the next day? To cover both sides? To be fair and balanced? Or to make you so unsure of yourself that you just drop looking altogether?

Whatever the case, there are gaps in every story that is false or unfinished.

We are a sloppy race, we trash our planet and leave junk everywhere, I believe its because we are like children in our stage of evolution we leave or toys and garbage everywhere, elder races are like adults at one with the universe, they do not leave junk laying around and act very differently then us.
Plus if we are a project or experiment and they wish to remain unseen to the masses this wouldn’t be that hard to do, except for the MILLIONS of sightings

Also one must remember as alien races met one another and formed groups some good some bad, they had a common law YOU CAN NOT BREAK!

Another interesting theory I heard once was, in order for them to truly become part of this world and our culture the government would have to come out and say that they are here and once that happens there is NO going back EVER!
Maybe they are afraid of this, that once the world learns they are here they will begin to attack or influence us in severe ways…
Either way they are here now.

Ok the solar system is very old and the Galaxy is even older, and older then that is the universe, by a number to hard to even remember. By the time you count to 1/1,000,000,000,000 of the number life will already have came here.
We are a young planet and a incredibly young culture.
Recorded time is only what 2000 years old?
Think about the other 70 million years we have been on Earth as man/ape/dog looking creature/amphibian/fish/slime/one celled organisms – all this time you really think life hasn’t found Earth? just flew by? Didn’t stop in and take a look or some resources?

They did, and they messed with us at least 65 times.

Look at the moon, it in itself is odd isn’t? Looks very very different then Earth and seems to have not been hear nearly as long as Earth, Not only that it doesn’t move? No one knows what the other side has on it? think about that. Or this We haven’t been back there since Apollo? Why? We launch a new cell phone Satellite every week but don’t go to the moon ever? Odd isn’t it

To many things that are odd that don’t add up. Mainly that we dont know what happened 2000-3000 years ago really.

Just think about that, The universe is so old and we and our planet is SO young.

16. Do ye feel secure that He Who is in heaven will not cause you to be swallowed up by the earth when it shakes (as in an earthquake)?
17. Or do ye feel secure that He Who is in Heaven will not send against you a violent tornado (with showers of stones), so that ye shall know how (terrible) was My warning?
18. But indeed men before them rejected (My warning): then how (terrible) was My rejection (of them)?
19. Do they not observe the birds above them, spreading their wings and folding them in? None can uphold them except (Allah) Most Gracious: truly it is He that watches over all things.
20. Nay, who is there that can help you, (even as) an army, besides (Allah) Most Merciful? In nothing but delusion are the Unbelievers.
21. Or who is there that can provide you with Sustenance if He were to withhold His provision? Nay, they obstinately persist in insolent impiety and flight (from the Truth).
22. Is then one who walks headlong, with his face grovelling, better guided― or one who walks evenly on a Straight Way?
23. Say: "It is He Who has created you (and made you grow) and made for you the faculties of hearing, seeing, and understanding: little thanks it is ye give."
24. Say: "It is He Who has multiplied you through the earth, and to Him shall ye be gathered together."
25. They ask: When will this promise be (fulfilled)? If ye are telling the truth.
26. Say: "As to the knowledge of the time, it is with Allah alone: I am (sent) only to warn plainly in public."
27. At length, when they see it close at hand, grieved will be the faces of the Unbelievers, and it will be said (to them): "This is (the promise fulfilled) which ye were calling for!"
28. Say: "See ye?― If Allah were to destroy me, and those with me, or if He bestows His Mercy on us― yet who can deliver the Unbelievers from a grievous Penalty?"
29. Say: "He is (Allah) Most Gracious: we have believed in Him, and on Him have we put our trust: so soon will ye know which (of us) it is that is in manifest error."
30. Say: "See ye?― If your stream be some morning lost (in the underground earth), who then can supply you with clear-flowing water?"

The most sublime words of the Almighty Allah, gives comfort to all those who believe and distress to those who are miserly.

Remember Allah always, for verily in his remembrance do hearts find rest.

1-(41) Behold! the angels said: "O Mary! Allah hath chosen thee and purified thee- chosen thee above the women of all nations. (42) "O Mary! worship Thy Lord devoutly: Prostrate thyself, and bow down (in prayer) with those who bow down." (43) This is part of the tidings of the things unseen, which We reveal unto thee (O Messenger!) by inspiration: Thou wast not with them when they cast lots with arrows, as to which of them should be charged with the care of Mary: Nor wast thou with them when they disputed (the point). (44) Behold! the angels said: "O Mary! Allah giveth thee glad tidings of a Word from Him: his name will be Christ Jesus, the son of Mary, held in honour in this world and the Hereafter and of (the company of) those nearest to Allah; (45)

2-And when the angels said: O Mary! Lo! Allah hath chosen thee and made thee pure, and hath preferred thee above (all) the women of creation. (42) O Mary! Be obedient to thy Lord, prostrate thyself and bow with those who bow (in worship). (43) This is of the tidings of things hidden. We reveal it unto thee (Muhammad). Thou wast not present with them when they threw their pens (to know) which of them should be the guardian of Mary, nor wast thou present with them when they quarrelled (thereupon). (44) (And remember) when the angels said: O Mary! Lo! Allah giveth thee glad tidings of a word from him, whose name is the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, illustrious in the world and the Hereafter, and one of those brought near (unto Allah). (45)

3- (41) "Behold," the angels told Mary, "God had chosen you, purified you, and given you distinction over all women. (42) Mary, pray devotedly to your Lord, prostrate yourself before Him and bow down with those who bow down before Him." (43) (Muhammad), that was some of the news about the unseen, that We have revealed to you. You were not among those who cast lots by throwing their arrows to find out who would take custody of Mary, nor were you among those who disputed the matter. (44) "Behold," the angels told Mary, "God has given you the glad news of the coming birth of a son whom He calls His Word, whose name will be Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, who will be a man of honor in this life and the life to come, and who will be one of the ones nearest to God. (45)

4-(41) AND LO! The angels said: "O Mary! Behold, God has elected thee and made thee pure, and raised thee above all the women of the world. (42) O Mary! Remain thou truly devout unto thy Sustainer, and prostrate thyself in worship, and bow down with those who bow down [before Him]." (43) This account of something that was beyond the reach of thy perception We [now] reveal unto thee: for thou wert not with them when they drew lots as to which of them should be Mary’s guardian, and thou wert not with them when they contended [about it] with one another. (44) Lo! The angels said: "O Mary! Behold, God sends thee the glad tiding, through a word from Him, [of a son] who shall become known as the Christ Jesus, son of Mary, of great honour in this world and in the life to come, and [shall be] of those who are drawn near unto God. (45)

5- (41) And (remember) when the angels said: "O Maryam (Mary)! Verily, Allah has chosen you, purified you (from polytheism and disbelief), and chosen you above the women of the ‘Alamin (mankind and jinns) (of her lifetime)." (42) O Mary! "Submit yourself with obedience to your Lord (Allah, by worshipping none but Him Alone) and prostrate yourself, and Irka’i (bow down etc.) along with Ar-Raki’un (those who bow down etc.)." (43) This is a part of the news of the Ghaib (unseen, i.e. the news of the past nations of which you have no knowledge) which We inspire you with (O Muhammad SAW). You were not with them, when they cast lots with their pens as to which of them should be charged with the care of Maryam (Mary); nor were you with them when they disputed. (44) (Remember) when the angels said: "O Maryam (Mary)! Verily, Allah gives you the glad tidings of a Word ["Be!" - and he was! i.e. 'Iesa (Jesus) the son of Maryam (Mary)] from Him, his name will be the Messiah ‘Iesa (Jesus), the son of Maryam (Mary), held in honour in this world and in the Hereafter, and will be one of those who are near to Allah." (45)
