A bible verse about God being part of us or never leaving us?

Posted on March 9th, 2010 by admin in cannot unseen | 1 Comment »

I’m trying to make a video to the song Never Alone by Barlowgirl, and there’s this part that says "We cannot separate because your part of me, and though your invisible I’ll trust the unseen." Does anyone know of any good bible verses that relate to those lyrics? Or at least the first part… Thanks! ^_^

"And I will be with you always, to the end of the age." – Matthew 28:20

"Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for thou are with me." – Psalm 23:4

Should i try and publish some of my poems?

The Unseen:
Trapped in a cage with an open door,
Safety is all that is seen,
Curiosity crosses the mind but,
Better be safe then in pain.
That’s all that’s seen,
No glory can be shed through the shadows
Just because it cannot be seen,
Does not mean it is not real.

though short, is this a great or good poem, improvements are welcome. thank you

Love is blind, what does it mean?

Posted on March 5th, 2010 by admin in cannot unseen | 17 Comments »

Does not love make us more seeing?
How do then blind people experience love? Was not Helen Keller also blind and still she said that. The Bible gives me a deep, comforting sense that "things seen are temporal and things unseen are eternal." Or another quote from her: "The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched. They must be felt with the heart. "

Do you have some other thoughts concerning the saying that "Love is blind"?

To say that love is blind is an expression, not a literal fact. When you love someone, you blind yourself to their human imperfections, focusing only on their finer qualities. If you love someone enough, you can be forgive their faults. Consider John: "For God so loved the world, that he gave his Only Begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on him should not perish; but have everlasting life." (1) Christ blinded Himself to our faults, forgave them, and through His love our kind is able to "see with their eyes, hear with their ears, and understand with their hearts." (2) The senses of the spirit are indeed not of the physical world. For "that which is born of the flesh, is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit, is spirit." (3) Spiritual gifts have no physical boundary, above or below. Such is love.

Do you think the U.S. war in Afghanistan cannot be won?

Posted on March 3rd, 2010 by admin in cannot unseen | 19 Comments »

Just think about Afghanistan’s history. They have never been conquered. The Romans, Greeks, Mongols(?), British and Russians were not able to fully conquer Afghanistan. The Afghani’s are a very stubborn and proud people. The Taliban our boys are fighting now have way more experience and know the terrain and know how to fight. They have patience, they have no need for a large amount of money, they are almost unseen by our troops. The Taliban are even called, "Ghosts" by our troops because they always hear about them and get shot by them, but never really see them in person; unless they are dead.

There is a video of a U.S. Marine in an outpost in Afghanistan (where the real fighting is occurring) . In it, he was asked whether or not he thinks the U.S. are winning the war. He said no.

Opinions please?
The Soviets had "Big Bombs" as well. And they lost.
Comparing our technology today to Ancient technology is irrelevant. The Romans and Greeks and some advanced technology in their time.

The U.S. had good technology when we fought the Vietcong, a lesser opponent. Yet, the Vietcong and the Taliban share a same quality: Patience.
The Soviets tried to wipe everyone out. They even had "killing missions" Missions involving Helicopters blasting the bejesus out of innocent civilian towns and villages,

Total Destruction only adds fuel to the fire.
"our boys" meaning U.S. soldiers. READ FIRST
Has anyone asked the Afghanis if they even wanted a Democratic Government? Most of the population are conservative muslims. They didn’t like the Taliban’s harsh rules, but still liked being close to thier god.

The largest force fighting the Taliban in Afghanistan is not America or indeed NATO but the Afghan Army itself.

Many people in Afghanistan do not like the Taliban and it’s Islamic Fundamentalism, where by teachers are executed and young girls are denied even basic education.

In terms of the current NATO role in Afghanistan, it is not an objective to conquer the country, but to allow those who live there to choose to live their lives free of the misery of fundamentalism, and to achieve as close to secular democracy as we can, which is why we are sending extra troops to oversee the forthcoming elections in Afghanistan.

“Corrupt Federal Reserve”
- The Conspiracy Of Secretive Shadow Gorvernment(Cabal)

The Federal Reserve is neither Federal nor a Reserve. Owned by a corrupt group of International Bankers, it is a privately owned monopoly, largely responsible for creating America’s National Debt. It is also a parasitic and unnecessary entity that literally creates American currency out of nothing and then collects interest on the backs of taxpayers for doing so.

Why do we feel and hear the sound of the wind, but cannot tell whence it cometh or whither it goeth?

Posted on February 27th, 2010 by admin in cannot unseen | 8 Comments »

When every passion is annihilated, and no thought moves in the mind, and all faculties are still waiting for God, the spiritual eye may trace perhaps some delicate motion in the soul, some thought which stirs like a leaf in the unseen air and tells that God is there.
It is not the the stillness, nor the unseen breath, nor the thought that only stirred, but these three mysteries in one which reveal God’s will to me. God’s light, it is true, does not supersede, but illuminates our thoughts.
Can you give me some of your thoughts on this.

the Residents – Talking Light Tour – Opening Night – Santa Cruz – The Unseen Sister

Posted on February 25th, 2010 by admin in cannot unseen | 25 Comments »

Recorded January 23rd 2010 at the Rio in Santa Cruz, CA. –
-
-
Talking Light Live in Santa Cruz is now on RSD.
90 minutes – full show. $7.99.

– residents.com

In the summer of 2009, The Residents made three decisions. One was to clean house. This decision led to the release of the futurist compilation CD, Ten Little Piggies. Second was the realization that the best statement of their current self view was a bunch a recordings that had been recorded earlier for an album called The Voice of Midnight. This decision led to the release of the album, The Ughs!

The third decision was to play a new live show on Halloween. This was to be the opportunity to experiment with new ideas and directions. The show was never announced but it was booked for the Rio in Santa Cruz, The Residents home-away-from-home, for Saturday, October 31.

=====
They couldn’t quite get it together by October 31 and then the holidays arrived. The Halloween show was postponed but is finally making it to the Rio January 23rd, 2010. The show is called Talking Light.

The story of the Talking Light piece is basically that of an older man who questions, not only decisions he made as a teenager, but also if the events he remembers from that time happened at all. “A dead infant clutching a ring with an inscription the teenager cannot read” is the stuff of dreams. The following stories in the show may or may not shed light on the inscription. Questions remain unanswered. The Residents study death, not as a horrific end, but as the ultimate question that we all ask while wondering if any of it is even real.

please help me. I have been having blood of and on in my urine seen and unseen for?

Posted on February 25th, 2010 by admin in cannot unseen | 2 Comments »

almost one year now. I have had infections ruled out, and white cells have formed. I had a cystoscopy done on thursday and it showed white cells that are not suposed to be there. The surgon said we are looking at 3 possible causes for this. One is a low grade infection(not likeley) two polops and three something more serious. I am due to go back onthe 20th of this month for a CT scan. I was given 3 urine jars. I have to do a midstream in the morning on the 18th of this month, one int he morning on the 19th and one in the morning onthe 20th I am supposed to go back in. They will be testing for malignancy. Like I said I have been putting up with this for almost 1 year now. My periods are now so irregular but cannot understand as my hormone tests are good and within normal limits. I have sometimes clear jelly mucas coming out too that has only been happeining this year. My Feritin level is low. I am getting sore throats, and feel like I have the flu sometimes like I feel like now. Please
if there is any doctors or nurses on here please help me, what could this be? Like I said the surgen found white cells when doing the cystoscopy, and I have no infection or kidney stones or kidney infections, so no UTIs as that has been ruled out so many times. Please help

You do not say how old you are but if you are still having periods then you are much younger than the typical bladder cancer patient. I’m sorry I do not have a clear answer to your questions except to say that the diagnosis of cancer is often complicated and can require a lot of repeated testing. The tests being done will hopefully exclude cancer as a potential diagnosis for your problem.

I do have one suggestion. If you smoke then quit ASAP since smoking is the biggest risk factor for developing bladder cancer. btw- Bladder cancer is highly curable when caught early and if you have it then I am almost certain it will be found in the earliest stages. If you had advanced bladder cancer then a diagnosis would have already been easy to make.

I’m sorry but you are just going to have to wait out the various tests before you get the answers you seek. good luck

Did criminally insane people issue defective software ?

Posted on February 23rd, 2010 by admin in cannot unseen | 1 Comment »

/Many people spend a lifetime aggressively trying to protect an injured or vulnerable "self." Traditionally, psychologists have termed such people "narcissists," but this is a misnomer. To the outside world it appears that these people love themselves. Yet, at their core they don’t love themselves–in fact their self barely exists, and what part does exist is deemed worthless. All energy is devoted to inflating the self, like a persistent child trying to blow up a balloon with a hole.

Because they need continuous proof of the significance of their voice, narcissists must find people, particularly important people, to hear and value them. If they are not heard, their childhood wound opens, and they quickly begin to melt away like the Wicked Witch of the West. This terrifies them. Narcissists use everyone around them to keep themselves inflated. Often they find flaws in others and criticize them fiercely, for this further distinguishes them from those who are defective. Children are ready targets: narcissists consider children flawed and lacking, and therefore most in need of severe "teaching" and correction. This negative picture of children is a sad projection of how the narcissist truly feels about his or her inner self before the self-inflation began. But the narcissist never recognizes this: they consider their harsh, controlling parenting magnanimous and in the child’s best interest.

Spouses receive similar treatment–they exist to admire the narcissist and to remain in the background as an adornment. Frequently, spouses are subject to the same barrage of criticism. This can never be effectively countered, because any assertive defense is a threat to the narcissist’s wounded "self." Not surprisingly, narcissists cannot hear others: spouse, lover, or friends, and especially not children. They are interested in listening only to the extent that it allows them the opportunity to give advice or share a similar incident (either better or worse, depending upon which has more impact). Many engage in "sham" listening, appearing to be very attentive because they want to look good. Usually they are unaware of their deafness–in fact they believe they hear better than anyone else (this belief, of course, is another attempt at self-inflation). Because of their underlying need for voice and the resultant bluster, narcissists often work their way to the center of their "circle," or the top of their organization. Indeed, they may be the mentor or guru for others. The second they are snubbed, however, they rage at their "enemy".

What makes it difficult to help this type of narcissist is their self-deception. The processes used to protect themselves are ingrained from childhood. As a result, they are absolutely unaware of their constant efforts to maintain a viable "self." If they are meeting with success, they are satisfied with life regardless of whether the people around them are happy. Two circumstances bring this type of person to a therapist’s office. Sometimes a partner who feels chronically unheard and unseen drags them in. Or, they have met with some failure (often in their career) so that the strategies they previously used to maintain self-esteem suddenly no longer work. In the latter situation, their depression is profound–like cotton candy, their robust false self dissolves, and one is able to see an accurate picture of their inner sense of worthlessness.

Can such people be helped? Sometimes. The critical factor is whether they ultimately acknowledge their core problem: that as a child they felt neither seen nor heard (and/or their self was fragile as a result of trauma, genetic predisposition, etc.), and they unconsciously employed self-building strategies to survive. Acknowledging this truth takes much courage, for they must face their underlying lack of self-esteem, their exceptional vulnerability, and significantly, the damage they have caused others. Then comes the long and painstaking work of building (or resurrecting) a genuine, non-defensive self in the context of an empathic and caring therapy relationship./

Not quite sure what your question is aside from a flimsy excuse to get me to read this essay, but okay.

I agree. Except perhaps the last sentence, which I find to be somewhat deceptive, but it is difficult to explain because it requires a perspective that runs so contrary to the nature of the person who wrote this essay.
