what have yoou seen that cannot be unseen?
Nude Beach+Old people= Scarred for life
Do you believe in the unseen?Atheists?
For the atheists that think there is no evidence for the unseen, actually there is. The evidence is string theory, (some of you may already know a bit about this) but not the normal string theory but M theory (membrane theory)
For as long as we can remember we believed the universe consisted 3 dimensions of space, simply if we could not see it, its not there. Until a man called Einstein came and discovered time also behaves like spatial dimensions.
But the time has come for another advance in our understanding of the universe. The 11 dimensional universe. Now it was thought that the extra dimensions could not be seen because they "curled" up so small that atoms were unable to "play" with it. But M theory says otherwise, these dimensions aren’t necessarily small its just we cannot perceive it with our senses.(or any living thing as far as were aware)
Whats your thoughts on this?
And by the way M theory has evidence, its evidence is through mathematics. Not only that but M theory helps us explain the big bang, black holes and wormholes.
P.s im not christian so don’t go where does it say this in your bible or silly comments similar.
I dont think some of you understand me. Atoms and Air can be detected and seen with an electron microscope (atoms). The higher dimmensions cant.
Well for starters it is not just about being ‘unseen’ it is about being un provable. Manythings cannot be ’seen’ but can be proven to exists, like electrons.
Now regarding your somewhat simplistic understanding of string theory, math is NOT evidence. It is simply a model. Many things in math we know are not real (such as the idealized geometric shapes like lines, a true mathematical line does not exist).
If these things cannot be, how can these things be?
Take the cases of nonmeteoric rocks and stones from nowhere that have haunted us for centuries.
Documented cases have revealed that great quantities of stones (quite often similar in size, shape, texture and color) have been witnessed to fall straight down from some unknown point in the sky to rain upon very localized targets. Stranger still are numerous cases where rocks and stones have actually materialized in a room and fallen to the floor in amazing quantities. Some parallels become readily apparent:
1.) These stones are very often quite warm (even hot) to the touch.
2.) These stones are seen to fall with an abnormal slowness.
Volleys of stones thrown by unseen perpetrators have bedeviled innocent victims. On at least one occasion where invisible miscreants tossed rocks at an outdoor social gathering, the missiles were indelibly marked and thrown wildly back into the wooded darkness at random. Seconds later, the “marked” stones returned.
Are we talking materialization or “teleportation” here?
If these things violate our known laws of our universe, are we perhaps ignorant of laws of other universes that may coincide with our own?
What kind of thing are you smoking?
Newtons laws of motion state that:
1.- An object will remain at rest if and only if there is not a net force acting upon it.
2.- The acceleration of an object is inversely proportional to its mass and proportional to the applied force.
3.- For every action there is a force of reaction, both forces have the same magnitude but opposite in direction.
NOTHING CAN VIOLATE THESE LAWS.
An object such as a stone cannot "magically" start moving by itself. The only way that the rock can move is if there is a force acting upon it; a force such as that of a human arm trowing the stone or the force of the wind moving it.
Other than that, it is complete non sense.
Do not believe that nonsense about rocks moving magically, etc…
how to delete unseen vista account?
Turning on my computer, in the log in screen, it automatically states i have the wrong password for an account i have never used or set up (i have to click use different account, then sign into my account, which is the only one i set up and use). Going through my user files, there is no folder for this account. I go to manage accounts in my control panel and there is nothing on this account, and the same in user profiles in the system settings.
I have searched for anything about this account and can find nothing on my computer that says it exists. Is there a way to delete this account that i cannot even find?
http://maximumpcguides.com/windows-vista/delete-a-user-account/
I followed these directions and i cannot find the account i want to delete, it only shows my account i am logged into.
It’s hard to understand what you mean. Honestly, your best bet would be to go to a computer store. They are trained to know everything about computers so they will be able to do what you want them to do.
unseen hard drives on my computer!?
i just recently installed windows ultimate with a working crack. i cannot see all my hard drives, i currently have 3 WD 500gb hard drives, but only 1 can be found!?
how can i make it so my computer will see all 3?
thanks.
AJ- and then… what do i do?
go to your admin tools folder and go to computer management.
Ramadan: If Allah, as Islamic scholars say, cannot be likened to his creation…?
…if he is totally "other" than the created order, then is it proper to say that he exists? For existence belongs to the order of created things. But Allah is totally other than anything that "is" or that exists. Therefore, is it proper to say that Allah does not "exist" if we define "existence" as being an attribute proper to things that are created? And Allah is not neither created nor begotten nor begets. He cannot be described and is totally "other" than all that "is" seen and unseen.
Therefore, to ascribe to Allah the quality of existence, which belongs to the order of things which are created is to ascribe to Allah attributes of the creature. Therefore is it not Shirk to say, "Allah exists"?
Let’s put this another way: Who called all things into "being" or "existence"? He who called all things into "existence" is the source and ground of all being but is outside of all things that "exist" which he called into being! Therefore, I ask again, is it proper to say that Allah "exists" since he is the source of all that exists but cannot be identified with it?
You are correct. The creator of existence is outside of that existence.
Is there any quick and easy way to remove the front seat of my Scion tC?
Its not a power seat. What I’m worried about is that, if I remove the bolts from the floorboard, some unseen nut is going to drop off into the frame somewhere and, not only will I never find it, but I’ll never again be able to use the seat. i realize there is an electrical connection for the seat belt. I just dropped some valuable jewelry in the cracks and I cannot get to it.
Take out the 4 bolts on the seat bottom, the seat will lift out. The wiring simple is plugup that you can handle easily. You might not have to disconnect any plugs. There are no secret nuts to fall into the 4th dimension. Go get ‘em, Tiger. Look in Chilton’s Auto Repair manual to be sure about my advice.
Electricians/plumbers: Is it a pet peeve of yours when people ask you to give prices over the phone?
I’m an electrician, and it bugs me to no end when people call up and ask me to give prices over the phone sight-unseen. Why can’t people understand that we cannot just rattle prices off over the phone without first seeing what we’re getting ourselves into?
Bingo. You hit on something EVERY contractor gets a little annoyed about, and it’s not JUST over the phone. People ask that sort of thing HERE all the time as well. From ANY contracting point of view, it’s next to impossible to tell what something is going to cost without seeing the project. Sure, we can give a fairly good and accurate quote on what materials may run if we have some sort of idea about what the customer wants, but time and possible problems? Impossible.
Didn’t take long to find an example. Check the link.

Is it true that what’s been seen cannot be unseen?
Someone convinced me to type in "lol fish" into Google and click "I’m Feeling Lucky." Now I can’t sleep because I’m terrified.
That’s entirely your fault. Never click "I’m Feeling Lucky" if you don’t know what you’re going to get.
A G main-sequence star and an unseen companion star are orbiting each other in a binary system ("unseen" means?
that the companion is much fainter than the G star, so it cannot be seen next to the brighter G star). By measuring the velocity of the G main-sequence star and the period of its orbit, you estimate that the combined mass of the two stars is 3 solar masses. The unseen companion is probably a
A) red giant
B) white dwarf
C) neutron star
D) O main sequence star
E) black hole
"G" means that the star that can be seen is pretty "average" Sun-like star.
Hence, by process of elimination, the companion star can not be:
- a red giant because red giants are more luminous and hence it would be easily visible
- O class main sequence star because these are some of the brightest and most massive stars, so it would be visible, too, and the total mass of the system would be well over 3 solar masses.
- white dwarfs are small star with little mass, limited to 1.4 solar masses. Given that the "invisible" companion is approx. 2 x the mass of the visible star, it can’t be a white dwarf.
So now we are down to two choices – neutron star and black hole. Neutron stars are strong sources of X-rays but relatively dim in visible spectrum. Because the question does not specify if the detection in limited to visible light only or the entire electromagnetic spectrum, neutron star COULD be the "invisible" companion. This could be easily confirmed by taking a "snapshot" of the system in the X-ray part of the spectrum.
Finally, if the system is not a strong source of X-ray radiation, than the only choice left is a black hole. However, black holes in the range of two solar masses are not very common. Theoretically they can exist, but the smallest black hole positively identified to date is about 3.8 solar masses.
Net, this is a typical high school or introductory astronomy question from a course given by somebody who probably has a very limited knowledge of astrophysics and is teaching "by the book".
