Kansas – Song For America

Posted on June 24th, 2010 by admin in unseen so this is freedom | 25 Comments »

A song written by Kerry Livgren
Artist: Kansas
Album: Song For America
Year: 1975

Lyrics:

Virgin land of forest green
Dark and stormy plain
Here all life abounds
Sunlit valley, mountain fields
Unseen in the rain
Here all life abounds

No man rules this land
No human hand has soiled this paradise
Waiting patiently
So much to see
So rich in Earth’s delights

Painted desert, sequined sky
Stars that fill the night
Here all life abounds
Rivers flowing to the sea
Sunshine pure and bright
Here all life abounds

No man rules this land
No human hand has soiled this paradise
Waiting patiently
So much to see
So rich in Earth’s delights

So the maiden lies in waiting
Pull the sailor into shore
Land of beauty and abundance
Innocent, you opened wide your door

Wanderers found the waiting treasure
Full of gifts beyond their measure
Milk and Honey for our pleasure

Across the sea there came a multitude
Sailing ships upon the wave
Filled with visions of Utopia
And the freedom that they crave

Ravage, plunder, see no wonder
Rape and kill and tear asunder
Chop the forest, plow it under

Highways scar the mountainside
Buildings to the sky
People all around
Unsustaining in these roads
See an eternity
People all around

So we rule this land
And here we stand
Upon our paradise
Dreaming of a place
Our weary race
Is ready to arise

‘Unseen Hand’

Posted on May 8th, 2010 by admin in hope unseen | 4 Comments »

Sal Anthony here. I met many of you through my Christmas song and video, “From Another Time and Place” (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Un_nH–QXWw) that was posted on YouTube during the 2007 Holidays. Thanks to you, the song received over 9000 views in just a month.

I am pleased to present another song here called “His Unseen Hand” — written with lyricist Mary Dawson who collaborated with me on the Christmas song. Videographer Ed Fiorini again has added his magic to make the song come alive. We hope it will be an encouragement — not only to the thousands of military men and women who were blessed by the Christmas video — but also to many others who are struggling with the “dailies” of life.

All Around, The Glorious Unseen, With Lyrics

Posted on May 4th, 2010 by admin in hope unseen | No Comments »

*This is not the albulm cover.

When my world is caving in
When my hopes are wearing thin
When Im choking in my sin – Lord, you meet me here
When all around is crashing down, I find myself alive in you
Holy one, renew
When all around is crashing down, I find my spirit crying out
Holy one, consume
When I listen to the fear
When I feel my end is near
When all hope has disappeared – Lord, you meet me here
Will you pour out again?
God of mercy, here I am reaching out to you
- Reaching out for a breakthrough
Father, hear my cry of desperation once again
I look into your eyes – and know a love that has no end

[ Jake ] How He Loves // The Glorious Unseen ( Drum Cover )

Posted on March 18th, 2010 by admin in hope unseen | 3 Comments »

For Christmas 2009 I decided to pay tribute to the REAL reason for the season [ Jesus Christ ] and do a couple of great songs that I love to play. I was originally going to do a couple of the usual christmas songs like Carol of the Bells or Deck the Halls but I felt it was best to just wear the hat and play for the One who gave me the ability to hear and play music. You can find How He Loves on many records such as The Glorious Unseen’s “The Hope That Lies In You”, David Crowder Band’s “Church Music”, Jeremy Riddle’s “How He Loves Live EP”, and Eddie Kirkland’s album, “Orthodoxy”, but it was originally written by John Mark McMillan.
I hate to be repetitive but, although close, this is not really a cover as I didn’t stick to what the drummer in the song played. I tried my best to express myself in my drumming and the music I play. I play drums because they are my passion and I love doing it . . . . I hope you enjoy this video as much as I enjoyed making it !!!
…………………………….On a different note ……………. for christmas I got a new snare drum [ in the video ] !! It’s an OCDP Maple 13×7 with black hardware [ and a REMO Black X head ] ………… (( I tuned it down a bit for the video to match the feel and tone of the song too ))
