England’s World Cup ended in a mixture of humiliation and controversy as they were thrashed by Germany in Bloemfontein.
Germany’s deserved victory and convincing victory margin will be overshadowed forever in the minds of Fabio Capello and his squad by a moment they believe robbed them of the hope of reaching the last eight.
Matthew Upson had thrown England a lifeline just before half-time after a vastly superior Germany had taken a stranglehold on the game with goals from Miroslav Klose and Lukas Podolski.
But moments after Upson’s header, in a grim echo of Geoff Hurst goal that helped England to victory over West Germany in the 1966 World Cup Final, Frank Lampard’s superb lofted finish landed feet over the line behind German keeper Manuel Neuer, an incident obvious to almost everyone inside the Free State Stadium.
Capello was leading the England celebrations in his technical area, only to be stunned as Uruguayan referee Jorge Larrionda and his officials waved play on.
England’s players and management, including David Beckham, led vehement protests as the teams went off at half-time, but all to no avail and Germany made the most of their reprieve.
The Germans will feel a measure of justice has been restored 44 years on, but this was of no consolation to the modern-day England as insult was added to injury by Joachim Loew’s gifted young side.
Lampard struck the bar as England dominated the early stages of the second half, but stunning counter-attacks saw Thomas Mueller score twice in the space of three minutes midway through the second half to send Germany into the last eight.
England, with some justification, will bemoan their luck but nothing must disguise the manner in which they were outclassed by Germany in stages of this game and also what has been an ultimately bitterly disappointing World Cup campaign in South Africa.
The brief hope of revival offered by victory against Slovenia that saw England advance to the knockout phase was snuffed out emphatically here by their old World Cup adversaries.
England paid the price for sloppy defending that gifted Germany goals – with central defenders John Terry and Upson having their immobility exposed in embarrassing fashion.
Wayne Rooney will return home having had minimal impact on the World Cup, and Capello himself must examine how England can move forward after being handed this painful lesson by Germany.
Capello chose to keep faith with Upson – but the defender was the central figure in a moment of defending that was almost indescribably bad as Germany took the lead after 20 minutes.
Germany keeper Neuer’s long clearance was routine, but both Upson and Terry were caught out of position, with the West Ham defender compounding his misjudgement by being brushed aside for Klose to stab home.
England keeper David James, who had earlier saved well from Mesut Ozil, prevented England from falling further behind with a crucial block from Klose as he raced clear, but it was only a temporary reprieve as Germany extended their lead 12 minutes later.
Again England were all at sea defensively, with Podolski left with time and space to score from an angle after Klose and Mueller carved them wide open.
England needed a swift response to at least have some hope of mounting a revival, and it came from Upson as he made amends for his earlier error. He beat the flailing Neuer to Steven Gerrard’s cross to head into an unguarded net.
Then came the moment of huge controversy that will haunt England and Capello for years to come. Even from high in the stands at the Free State Stadium, it was clear Lampard’s audacious chip had travelled well over the line behind Neuer, but as Capello celebrated, England were stunned to find play waved on.
Lampard’s ill-luck continued as England made a purposeful start the second half. He fired in a free-kick from 25 yards, but it rebounded off the bar with the static Neuer beaten.
The danger was always that Germany would strike on the counter attack, and they did to deadly effect as Mueller reopened their two-goal advantage after 67 minutes.
From and England free-kick Gareth Barry lost possession on the edge of Germany’s area, allowing them to sweep to the other end for Mueller to fire past James from Bastian Schweinsteiger’s pass.
And it was all over three minutes later, with Barry at fault again. He failed to deal with a clearance near the touchline, letting in Ozil to provide Mueller with a simple finish.
England had nothing left to offer and their World Cup campaign ended with a whimper – although they will complain bitterly about the moment they will feel had a decisive effect on the outcome of the game.

Let’s begin, shall we?

Grab whatever supplies you feel are necessary for this quest (Rations & Map)

And begin making your way to area 5, there is a Rathalos roaming around in this quest, so be sure to not provoke him or else he could become a bit of trouble.

Now, you can handle this quest in several ways. You can just grab the egg and begin running your way back home, or you can clear out the areas.

If you’re going to clear out the areas, grab a egg, and drop it. Then begin to clear out whatever areas you’re intending to go through. I went from 5, 6, 2.

Also, there are Velociprey in area 1, why? It’s a bit unexpected I guess, be sure to clear them out as well.

So clear areas 1, 2, and 6 if you’re going to follow my method. If not, do whatever you like.

After that, make your way down area 6, I can’t exactly explain how to do so since well.. yeah, it’s a effing mountain, but you guys can watch what I did and just follow along really. It’s not hard at all. Just have to be a bit cautious on your steps/jumps. I wouldn’t suggest running on this part either.

This quest isn’t hard at all, it just takes a bit of time and patience.

Time for one of my favorite quests in Monster Hunter, “Queen of the Desert”.

You fought a Rathalos, so taking down a Rathian shouldn’t be any trouble at all really.

I suggest you bring 3x Flash Bombs, and 3x Lg Barrel Bombs to make this quest go by really fast.

Let’s begin shall we? Grab whatever supplies you want from the Supply Box and begin to head to area 4. Once there you’ll see some Apceros and Rathian, pretty much a Green Rathalos.

You’ll want to clear the two Apceros closest to you, as they can be rather annoying while fighting Rathian.

Rathian is a bit more different from Rathalos, she only uses ground-based attacks. So not alot of flying for her, which is great because it makes things go by so much faster.

One of her attacks she’ll use alot is Fireball, which is great for getting some free hits on her, or hits to hacking off that tail of hers.

Unlike Rathalos, she has a Triple Fireball attack, as the name implies she fires 3 fireballs instead of the usual 1. She tends to use this attack alot more while in “Rage Mode”.

She can also do a backflip, yes a backflip. Absurd right? Well the damage is to, it will also poison you if you’re not wearing Poison Resistant armor, don’t worry though. It’s easy to point out when she’ll attempt a backflip, as she’ll take 2 steps back before doing so. She tends to use this attack often while in “Rage Mode” as well.

As Rathalos, her head/legs are her weak point. So you know what to aim for when she’s using her Fireball attack.

If she is limping away, she’ll try head to area 3 to recover health. If she manages to get away, quickly enter that area and begin to clear the Apceros within it, and then finish her off.

Once you get the hang of her, she’s really fun to fight, just like Basarios. (:

Part 1 Summary: Rex didn’t sound particularly excited as Gigi talked about what to expect at couples therapy, but was willing to attend if it would help their relationship. Gigi stepped out, and Natalie showed up with news of Jared’s predicament. Rex asked Natalie if she believes that Jared is guilty. She admitted to being confused but didn’t believe her husband was capable of murder. Natalie asked Rex to use his PI skills to locate Jared before the cops can, and presented her with one clue, a matchbook from a bar called The Lakeside. Nat wanted to go there right away, but Rex said he couldn’t leave that evening. She wouldn’t take no for answer, and when the tears began to flow, Rex couldn’t exactly say no.

Nora phoned Rachel to let her know where she and Bo had taken Matthew. Téa ran into Rachel at the hospital and noticed that something was really bothering her. Rachel revealed that Shaun had recovered, and Téa urged Rachel to come clean about not having feelings for him. When the subject of Todd came up, Téa confessed her big secret.

At La Boulaie, Blair tried to defend her actions to Todd about keeping Téa’s marriage a secret, saying she just wanted to save him from the pain. Todd wanted to understand why Téa was so certain that she’d divorced Ross and wondered if Blair had intercepted Téa’s divorce papers. It was all Téa’s doing, Blair insisted. Starr and Hope came home, and Starr asked if Blair had regained any of her memory from the accident. Blair flashed back to realizing that Téa has a child with Todd, then lied that nothing had come back to her yet. Starr left her baby with Blair, who bounced a smiling Hope on her knee and referred to herself as Nana, which made Todd laugh. As he talked about how important children and grandchildren are, Blair randomly apologized for the year she kept their kids away from him. When Starr returned, she was shocked to see that her parents had managed to refrain from getting into a loud argument.

Matthew pleaded with Kevin to help him “escape” London, but the best Kevin could do was arrange for Matthew to have a phone while he’s at school. Nora and Bo announced that Matthew will be moving into the school that evening, and Kevin tried to boost his spirits, even explaining that he and the unseen Kelly plan to send Zane there when his grandson is old enough. Kevin escorted Matthew to the school, while Bo and Nora commiserated over a drink. Nora began to cry as she thought of how much Matthew hated them right now, and Bo gave her a comforting hug. The headmistress introduced Matthew to his new roommate, Tom, who looked Matthew up and down with disdain.

At Rodi’s, Stacy and Kim tempted Schuyler with concert tickets that would make Gigi swoon, but Rex didn’t want to be a part of their scheme. They left the tickets on the bar and headed over to a nearby table. Gigi arrived and spotted the Hale Bopp tickets, telling Schuyler all about her high school crush on the band. Gigi nearly accepted his invite to attend the concert, but revealed that she and Rex have a couples therapy appointment. It killed Rex to do so, but he phoned Gigi and broke it to her that he’s going out of town for work. Gigi expressed her disappointment to Schuyler, who suggested that they go to the concert to get her mind off of things. Meanwhile, Kim complained to Stacy that she’s running out of cash, so Stacy suggested she find herself a rich divorcee. When Kim spotted an article about the Buchanans, she started to get some ideas. She made a list of wealthy Buchanans she’d like to land, but she soon realized who was married, who’s wanted for murder, and so on. At Stacy’s suggestion, she set her sights on Bo, and drew a heart around his face.
