What is the meaning of life?

I’m seeking the meaning of life.

I don’t mean any sort of esoteric, postmodern nonsense answer like ‘aardvarks’ or ‘wompleschneet.’ I mean a bona fide and true, distinct meaning of life. The philosophical holy grail. The grand purpose. The reason to wake up each morning, go through the routines and unique qualities that line each day, and so forth.

What I want is what mankind has been seeking for the past several thousand years, give or take, and has been debated since the dawn of abstract consciousness. I want the stuff of which gods are made, the ether that permeates the space between your mind and my own, the unseen absolute.

I want Plato’s perfect chair and his notion of Justice. I want truth and guidance wrapped into one tiny nugget. I want to know why the Cubs can’t win the Series, or why dogs and cats will always fight, or why John Lennon had to die, or why John Lennon will never really die, or why McDonald’s french fries are so, so good.

I want ten words or less.

The meaning of life is to find your own personal meaning in life. Everything means something, but at the same time, nothing means anything. Figure out what’s important to YOU and be happy!

The meaning of Life is to exist for God–do His will, thereby receiving the best of who you are while here on earth. To live is Christ and to die to self is gain. Life here as one knows it, is short indeed–here today gone tomorrow and from a secularist view, ends there. That doesn’t sound like much when you really think about it. Some die young, so is that it? God intended so much more, you need only to open your heart and let Him in. For what profits one to gain the whole world? If that is the case, life as it is known is destroyed or lost. Jesus said, "I am the way, the TRUTH and the LIFE." So, He is where life begins and guess what–it never ends. How good is that? Think about it.

For different people, life is worth different things…for some, it means having a successful marriage, or having a healthy and happy family, or having successful children, or having a huge house with an expensive car or being on everyone’s A-list or having a high-powered job…the list goes on and on. Each individual has to figure out what his/her purpose in life is and try to fulfill it.

Sorry, my answer’s more than 10 words.
