Which is more powerful: the seen or the unseen?
This goes to faith as in: ‘Now faith is substance of things hoped for,
Evidence of things unseen’. This manifest 3-dimensional world and
all the material ‘things’ in it, including our bodies – are they the end
of a line of order or ‘thought’, so as they are the spent effect of a
previous cause – an idea held in the mind of God? So which holds
the true source and power: material realm or the realm that we cannot
sense?
It seems to me that the 3 dimensional world is a result of a chemicalization. An outcome of an infinite number of results of things both seen and unseen. I believe that the manifest realm of my reality is just one part of what is the power of God, both things seen and unseen, having no beginning nor end. For me to conclude that this is, or may be, the end of a line of order or the spent effect of a previous cause would be akin to defining God.
The realm that cannot be sensed, i.e. the "unseen", holds the true source of power. I say this because I believe there is so much that a human being cannot know or sense. Even for those who claim to have the power of ESP (in any or all of its forms) do not know or sense everything. The realm of the unseen is infinite and in that is the Truth of what Is. Without the awareness of the unseen, or God Divinity, that is within me, then the "seen" is just a part of what I manifest and can change at any given moment. In that there is only limited power or truth.

I don’t know about power, but, to quote a little prince, "what is essential is invisible to the eye."

Very good question!
I think the unseen is more powerful. The unknown and the uncertainty of everyday and what lies beyond.
I once had a thought that maybe we are all characters in a dream and as the person awakes we will cease. Maybe this person is God? I do not believe so any longer, but it is curious thinking!

The more compelling is the motivation with which people commit atrocities and attributing them to their god’s will.
No rational person would hijack planes and ram them into skyscrapers unless they have this powerful and dangerous "faith" in their gods.
It is our collective responsibility to shed light on the unseen, so that all can see it for what it is.

Let us see! On his own plane of being, how does Man create? Well, first, he may create by making something out of outside materials. But this will not do, for there are no materials outside of THE ALL with which it may create. Well, then, secondly, Man pro-creates or reproduces his kind by the process of begetting, which is self-multiplication accomplished by transferring a portion of his substance to his offspring. But this will not do, because THE ALL cannot transfer or subtract a portion of itself, nor can it reproduce or multiply itself–in the first place there would be a taking away, and in the second case a multiplication or addition to THE ALL, both thoughts being an absurdity. Is there no third way in which MAN creates? Yes, there is–he CREATES MENTALLY! And in so doing he uses no outside materials, nor does he reproduce himself, and yet his Spirit pervades the Mental Creation. Following the Principle of Correspondence, we are justified in considering that THE ALL creates the Universe MENTALLY, in a manner akin to the process whereby Man creates Mental Images. And, here is where the report of Reason tallies precisely with the report of the Illumined, as shown by their teachings and writings. Such are the teachings of the Wise Men. Such was the Teaching of Hermes. THE ALL can create in no other way except mentally, without either using material (and there is none to use), or else reproducing itself (which is also impossible). There is no escape from this conclusion of the Reason, which, as we have said, agrees with the highest teachings of the Illumined. Just as you, student, may create a Universe of your own in your mentality, so does THE ALL create Universes in its own Mentality. But your Universe is the mental creation of a Finite Mind, whereas that of THE ALL is the creation of an Infinite. The two are similar in kind, but infinitely different in degree. But this is the point to fix in your minds at this stage: THE UNIVERSE, AND ALL IT CONTAINS, IS A MENTAL CREATION OF THE ALL. Verily indeed, ALL IS MIND! –Kybalion

Your question is more obscene that seen. You ask a question that is legitimate to follow with a hypothesis of the unseen power being some kind of god accepted by faith? The answer would be Apples are round and oranges are round therefore God is real.
Logic is more powerful that myth.

Faith is evidence of nothing. Just because someone believes something doesn’t make it so.
While something "unseen" could be more powerful than a known factor, without any knowledge of the unknown factor it’s impossible to make a judgement either way.
Is 8 less than or greater than X? Without knowing the value of X it’s a ridiculous question.

The Sixteenth Word
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate.
Indeed, His command when He wills a thing is, ‘Be!’, and it is.* So glory be unto Him in Whose hand is the dominion of all things, and to Him will you all be brought back.1
[This Word was written to afford insight and understanding to my blind soul by pointing out four Rays from the light of the above verse - to dispel the darkness and afford me certainty.]
FIRST RAY
O my ignorant soul! You say, "The Oneness of the Divine Essence together with the universality of the Divine acts, the Unity of Almighty God’s person together with His unassisted comprehensive Dominicality, His Singleness together with His unshared all-embracing disposal, His being beyond space and yet present everywhere, His infinite exaltedness together with being close to all things, and His being One and yet Himself holding all matters in His hand, are among the truths of the Qur’an. Yet the Qur’an is All-Wise, and that which is Wise does not impose on the reason things which are unreasonable. And the reason sees an apparent contradiction between these things. I would like an explanation of them which will impel the reason to submit."
The Answer: Since that is the way it is and you want to be certain and reassured, relying on the effulgence of the Qur’an, we say: the Divine Name of Light has solved many of my difficulties. God willing, it will solve this one too. Choosing the way of comparison, which brings clarity to the mind and luminosity to the heart, like Imam-i Rabbani, we say:
I am neither the night nor a lover of the night;
I am a servant of the Sun; it is of the Sun that I speak.
Since comparison is a most brilliant mirror to the Qur’an’s miraculousness, we too shall look at this mystery by means of a comparison. It is as follows:
A single person may gain universality by means of various mirrors. While being a single individual, he becomes like a universal possessing general qualities. For example, while the sun is a single individual, by means of transparent objects, it becomes such an universal that it fills the face of the earth with its images and reflections. It even has as many manifestations as the number of droplets and shining motes. Although the sun’s heat, light, and the seven colours in its light each comprehend, encompass, and embrace all the things which confront them, all transparent things also hold in the pupils of their eyes the sun’s heat, and its light and seven colours, together with its image. And they make a throne for them in their hearts. That is to say, with regard to Unity, the sun encompasses all the things which confront it, while with regard to Oneness, the sun is present together with many of its attributes in everything through a sort of manifestation of its essence. Since we have passed from the comparison to a discussion of representation, we shall indicate three of the many sorts of representation which will be a means to understanding this matter.
The First: This is the reflection of dense, physical objects. These reflections are both other than the thing reflected, they are not the same, and they are dead, without life. They possess no quality other than their apparent identity. For example, if you enter a store full of mirrors, one Said will become thousands of Said’s, but the only living one is you, all the others are dead. They possess none of the characteristics of life.
The Second: This is the reflection of physical luminous objects. This reflection is not the same as the thing reflected, but neither is it other than it. It does not hold the luminous object’s nature, but it possesses most of its characteristics, and may be considered as living. For example, the sun entered the world, and displayed its reflection in all mirrors. In each of the reflections is present light and the seven colours in light, which are like the sun’s qualities. Let us suppose the sun possessed consciousness, and its heat was pure power; its light, pure knowledge; and its seven colours, the seven attributes, then the single sun would be present in all mirrors at one moment, and would be able to make each a throne for itself and a sort of telephone. One mirror would not be an obstacle to another. It would be able to meet with all of us by means of our mirrors. While we are distant from it, it would be closer to us than ourselves.
The Third:

As the Almighty has his dwelling in the Spirit realm and is not affected by Time Heat Cold Death and the like, and furthermore all things come from the Spirit realm therefore it must be far far beyond the seen and physical, although Seeing is not a barrier between Spirit and physical to all!.

We, being of three dimensions, are unseen to a world of lessor dimension and our added dimension allows for power over that to which we are unseen. Likewise we would be less to a dominion of more than three dimensions in such as the world in which God created all that is. Therefore, and in the instance cited, the unseen is more powerful.

In the spiritual realm, there is greater power in the unseen.
In the material realm I would think it would be in what you see, so you can prepare and take action accordingly.

2 Cor. iv. 18. — While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal: but the things which are not seen are eternal.
Matthew 6:31-34 So do not worry, saying, "What shall we eat? or What shall we drink? or What shall we wear? For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things, will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough troubles of it’s own.
Therefore the unseen is more powerful since God tells us not to worry about things of today.

I say the unseen because what is seen is only temporary, and what is unseen is for all eternal~
In God’s eyes the greatest heroes of faith are not those who achieve prosperity, success, and power in this life, but those who treat this life as a temporary assignment and serve faithfully, expecting their promised reward in eternity.

God holds power in the material (physical) world as well as in the spiritual realm. God holds power over the entire universe. We can see that power in the glory of creation. As a Christian, the unseen is just as powerful. We cannot see the Holy Spirit but it lives inside each true believer. Faith is in the unseen. Faith is powerful. I am not real sure I understand your question. For most, the power is in the seen, sadly, but as a believer, faith gives us the power to accomplish much. …. the Lord working through us.

If you know something exist, you can formulate a plan to deal with it.
If you do not know it exist or, live in denial, then you are in for a sentinel experience when the bricks fall.
For those that deny Gods’ existence, they also deny the existence of evil.
The world we live in, in human form is the third dimension. There are other dimensions that not all are privy to see or, do not wish to see while they occupy their time with worldly possessions.
We can sense them if we train ourselves. That is why the existence of people being Clairvoyant (to see), Clair-sentient, to feel, and Clair- audience, (to hear) exist.
Have you not had a gut feeling steering you in a completely different direction with no knowledge of something wrong only to find you are safe and sound? Sometimes our Guardian Angels let us know in this way for they are not only with us, but they can intercede in life threatening situations as long as it does not interfere with our free will and destiny.
Have you not had a visual premonition of something about to happen that provided you with just enough time react differently to save your life?
Those with faith & trust stand a better chance of overcoming sentinal experiences than those that do not…if they choose to.

Definitely the unseen. The human eye sees what it was made to see.Without any assistance from powerful lenses it would not be able to see say a micro-organism or many planets or stars. These unseen things are powerful and can cause illness that would wipe out many lives, the planets and stars that we cannot see are also huge and can be very powerful. Then there is the spirit realm angels and evil spirits can cause powerful occurrences, We cannot see Poison but we can see its effect. We cannot see love but we can experience its power in our lives. We cannot see wind but we can see its power when there is a storm and it blows 120 miles an hour.God cannot be seen but He is all power full and can show his strength and we will have to acknowlege it.It is definetly the unseenthat is stronger then the seen.
