Who are you? Galadriel, Elrond or Gandalf. Perhaps another?

In LOTR the 3 elven rings are forged for "Healing, Understanding, and Preserving that which could be preserved, unstained".

The greatest of the rings, Vilya, ring of Lightning (healing was given to Elrond in Rivendell. But he admitted to Gandalf that when all other places fell, Rivendell would follow.

Narya, ring of Ice was held by Galadriel, guardian and warder of Lothlorien, the silver wood. Indomitable in defiance yet impotent in change, she stood, light against shadow betwixt the wastes. Dwindling.

Lastly Nenya, the ring of Fire which preserved Gandalf from the Balrog of Moria was gifted him by Cirdan the shipwright who recognised him as an agent of the Valar.

Yet other choices exist. The rangers who guarded against shadows unseen, hidden heirs of a line of kings, and the Gondorians, wardens who held the line against the shadow.

Who are you?

(gandalf crossed with treebeard n a hint of bombadil)

Understand that I say this with cynicism, not egotism. I am most like Frodo, the one who loks like he’s supposed to be the hero but never really could be (Samwise is the true hero, and anyone who’s read the books twice or more knows this).
Have a great day!

I would have loved to have been "Legolas", but I identify most strongly with Aragorn. It is not unusual for me to go up into the hills south of my home wearing leather armor and carrying sword and spear, just to hike up to the massive rock formations. The foliage is dense and forms into thickets where a wrong turn can leave you held for long minutes in a thorny embrace, but the armor resists even the longest thorns and thistles. It takes about two hours to reach the summit ridge, and the rocky outcroppings can be home to poisonous snakes such as timber rattlers and copperheads, which is why I wear armor and carry weapons. The nine foot long oak spear can also fend off perturbed bear – once it is "set" against a tree or rock the nine inch long bladed steel head becomes a dangerous thing to run towards. It has done so once, and as soon as the bruin felt the bite he backed off. He circled me for a little while, but once he realized he couldn’t approach me without running onto the spear he went away. He was actually more curious than angry, but shaking hands with four hundred pounds of black bear is not my idea of fun. I know these hills like the back of my hand for miles around, and like any good Ranger, I don’t lose my sense of direction in the woods.
